MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced the final edition of its weekly awards for 2026, recognizing Wittenberg's Reese Monnin and Trine's Dalton Lutes on Tuesday afternoon.
Both award winners for the final week fittingly come from the Co-Champions of the 2026 Regular Season, Wittenberg and Trine, of which are seeded Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, heading into this weekend's 2026 MCVL Tournament.
Monnin earned Offensive Player of the Week as the Tigers secured the No. 1 seed and will host the 2026 MCVL Tournament with two wins last weekend. The junior from Xenia, Ohio racked up 24 kills, hitting at a blistering .639 clip, in wins over Wabash and Spalding. Monnin played a critical role in the thrilling five-set victory over Wabash, racking up 13 kills while hitting .500.
Lutes led the Thunder to a crucial victory over Calvin, securing a share of the MCVL conference title for the first time in program history. The freshman libero racked up 16 digs in the match and had 27 opportunities in serve receive with just one reception error. His 16 digs matched his highest-total this season in a league match and third-highest total overall.
