MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced its weekly award winners for Week 7, recognizing Trine's Johnson-Kuhao Ho'Okano-Pelekai and Mount Union's Peyton Koszelak.

Ho'Okano-Pelekai was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week following Trine's 3-1 win over Adrian. Koszelak took home the Defensive Player of the Week after Mount Union swept both Wabash and Spalding in five sets. 

Ho'Okano-Pelekai racked up 23 kills, averaging 5.75 kills per set, and hit a blistering .341 in the Thunder's four-set win. The senior outside hitter totaled 25.5 points in the match in a four-set win over Adrian at home. 

Koszelak picked up his third MCVL Defensive Player of the Week this season, anchoring the UMU backline to propel the Purple Raiders to two victories. The senior from Eden, N.Y. collected 44 digs, averaging 4.40 digs per set. He also had just one reception error on 46 attempts in serve receive.
